Michelle
As an undergraduate I took a yoga class to fulfill a GE requirement. It was a great introduction…followed by three years in which my yoga mat sat in a closet.
Then a friend invited me to her favorite studio and so began a small steady practice over the next three years, where I feel in love with yoga.
I love not only what it does for my body but more for my mind and spirit. I can celebrate in yoga or grieve. Yoga does not judge me for crying or falling out of a pose. It welcomes me when I practice three times a week and when I haven’t visited in a month (although I notice our relationship is better the more I show up.)
I have a deep love for learning and draw inspiration from my favorite teachers who are passionate about what they teach. I am here to help you grow and expand on your journey and offer you a safe space to explore, dig and connect with your inner joy.
People say my style of teaching is engaging and challenging. I can be a bit silly sometimes but I teach from my heart and I teach what I know.
As someone who wears her heart on her sleeve I understand that being vulnerable can be uncomfortable. I know what it’s like to move through something difficult or try something new. I don’t have all the answers…I don’t even have some of the answers, but I can stand with you in that uncomfortable space and support you. I will encourage you and be compassionate. I will even remind you that it’s not about being perfect or “having it all together.”
