I started practicing yoga in 1995. Since 2005 I’ve taught tens of thousands of people brand new to yoga how to start, thrive, and be successful with yoga.

As the Founder of One Flow Yoga®, an award-winning yoga studio in Sacramento, I've seen firsthand the struggles and stumbles that can happen when learning yoga.

Too often, yoga is taught as sink or swim–you either get it or you don’t. I disagree with that approach and believe anyone can learn yoga with the right guidance.

So I went looking for a better method to teach yoga to beginners. Only it didn’t exist.

You see, most “beginner-friendly” yoga classes are watered-down versions of a “regular” yoga class. But beginners are different and need a different kind of class.

So I started experimenting with how to make yoga more accessible and fun. It had to teach the fundamentals and empower people to make the changes that work best for their bodies.

And it worked

What If I'm Nervous And Don't Like It?

No problem. Come to the first class. If it's not for you, email info@oneflowyoga.com within 24 hours and we'll refund you in full. Note, only people who attend the first class are eligible for this.

I am brand new to yoga. Can I take this workshop?

We love beginners.! This workshop was created specifically for people who are new to yoga. In fact, you'll find the majority of the group is brand new.

What do I need to bring?

We recommend bringing a mat, towel, and water. Don't have a mat? No problem, we include a free mat rental for the workshop. This class is very interactive, so please dress in comfortable exercise clothing you can move around in.

How is The Beginner's Series Different from a regular class?

In a yoga class, the emphasis is on practicing yoga. In the Beginner's Series, the focus is on learning and understanding yoga. We explain the how and the why. You also have the chance to ask questions, see demonstrations, and get a breakdown of the 50 core poses of yoga. The Beginner's Series makes yoga more comfortable, accessible, and enjoyable.
