FAQ
Here are the questions we get most.
Please bring a yoga mat, towel and water. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early your first time to fill out some paperwork and get situated. We always recommend being in the middle of the room. Also, wear clothes you can move around and get sweaty in. See also New Student Tips
We have plenty of STREET parking available. There are NO parking spots available in the parking lot. Please help us be great neighbors. The street parking is 2 Hour parking and is enough for our 75 minute yoga classes.
The New Student Special ($69 Intro Month) is for students who are new to our Sacramento Yoga studio. To sign up, click here. please. It starts with your first visit to the studio. You have 30 consecutive days to come practice as many times as you'd like. (We recommend at least 2-3 times a week to start.) This lets you get a feel of the studio, get comfortable with yoga and begin to build strength and flexibility.
The room is a comfortable 85 degrees--give or take. Bikram yoga, also known as "hot yoga" is performed at 106 degrees. The heat helps protect your muscles but is not insufferably hot.
Vinyasa Foundational Flow classes are designed with those of you who are "new to yoga", though we have people of every ability and experience in class. We breakdown the poses in a slower manner and give more "modifications" to help you feel comfortable in your practice. There is more repetition from class to class in a Foundational Flow versus our Next Level classes.
Vinyasa Next Level Flow is for you if you have a familiarity with Sun Salutation A and B and can spell Utkatasana. The biggest criteria is that you're able to let your ego go, a bit, and make this your practice. There are many, many people who cannot do a split or handstand--yet are very happy people who love and are loved very much.
