Serra
Hi, I'm Serra!
Like many, I came to Power Yoga during a particularly challenging time in my life. I found the physical challenge of the practice, loud music and packed classes to be exactly what I needed to “tune out.”
As I’ve matured in my practice, I’ve come to realize that what actually happened is that I learned to “tune in” to my body and mind. I believe the time we spend on our mat is special and important, a time to slow down and check in.
My Vinyasa classes are playful and lighthearted with a focus on mobility and balance.
For me, the days of the handstand are in the review mirror. My current focus is on increasing mobility and stability in everyday life.
My Yin classes offer space to move into the body more deeply, accessing areas in a more focused way. The quiet, slow practice allows for relaxation or meditative exploration. I know you are not supposed to have a favorite… but… well... IYKYK. Come check it out.
When I'm not on the mat, I enjoy hiking, being outdoors, and spending time with my wife and our two cats, Lily and Patti. I also volunteer at the Sac Zoo where I can be found hanging out with the giraffe, zebra and rhino crew!
Through my own experience, I believe in the transformative power of yoga and am honored to share this practice and support you wherever you are in your yoga journey.
