Caitlin
I moved to Sacramento in 2015 to play Division 1 soccer at Sacramento State (Stingers Up!), after spending most of my life on the field. I'd been playing since I was nine, and soccer shaped so much of who I was - the discipline, the drive, the competitive fire. It also came with its challenges, including several injuries, ankle surgeries and the constant push to perform at a high level.
Yoga was something I touched on here and there during college, but it wasn't until after my playing career ended that I really began to understand what the practice could offer.
I started spending Saturday mornings at yoga in the Palladio in Folsom. It quickly became something I looked forward to every week - a space where I could slow down, connect with myself and simply be. It was the first time movement felt like nourishment instead of performance and that feeling stayed with me.
When I eventually moved back to Sacramento, I wanted to explore yoga more intentionally and signed up for the Beginner's Series at One Flow. That series changed everything for me. It sparked a curiosity I didn't expect and helped me begin building a relationship with my body that wasn't based on forcing, pushing, or proving. Instead, I began learning how to listen - when to challenge myself, when to back off, and how I can begin carrying that awareness into my life off the mat.
I have always felt my teachers support and encourage me through both love and challenge, and that's the energy I bring into my own classes.
I'll be there to support you, encourage you, and guide you through hard work that helps you build confidence in what's best for you. My classes offer a safe space to tune into yourself, move intentionally, play, and explore your practice with curiosity and trust. I can't wait to see you on the mat!
