Trisha
I found One Flow Yoga literally by driving past it on my way home one day. I was looking for a practice that would support a reconnection with myself and a community of amazing people. I took my first class in December 2023 and have been coming ever since.
I've tried various yoga practices throughout my life -- Bikram, online classes — but always approached them with a fitness mindset. This time was the opposite. The timing feels special, spiritual, and exactly where I'm supposed to be.
I left my career as a high school English teacher after 10 years. I also coached varsity girls basketball and led my alma mater to their first section title since 1988. I went back to school for a doctorate in clinical psychology, but two years in, I still didn't feel the passion for it. I knew I could return to teaching or take the harder path of self-discovery -- and that path led me to Yoga Teacher Training.
Showing up on my mat started to reveal things about myself: how I handle challenges, how I sit with discomfort, and the perfectionist expectations I place on myself. I left my practice in tears more than once -- raw, unfiltered moments that taught me yoga isn't always smiles and perfect poses. But I kept showing up. There was an unexpected ease in knowing I didn't have to be happy and perfect all the time.
I hope to offer a class that helps you come back to yourself and challenges you along the way. Others describe me as kind, personable, and calm.
